Biography

Alexandra Sherman paints the hush between people - the moment a hand pauses, a gaze lowers, a silhouette dissolves into lamplight. Working in muted palettes and vapor-soft blends, she suspends her figures in a liminal zone where realism blurs into reverie, letting absence and presence overlap like double exposure. Each canvas distills fragments of tenderness, concealment, and quiet longing; gestures so slight they verge on disappearence yet pulse with the weight of unspoken connection. Guided by intuition, personal memory, and a cinema-tinged sense of atmosphere, Sherman turns fleeting encounters into slow, luminous apparitions of intimacy.
