Benjamin Langford

  • Benjamin Langford’s work seamlessly blends the meticulousness of photography with the presence of sculpture, creating larger-than-life floral forms. Composed of printed canvas panels hand-stitched and painted with care, each work is designed to appear as if it hovers, weightless, on the wall. Through a preliminary photographic process called focus-stacking, Langford achieves a stunning level of detail, allowing viewers to see these botanical forms with clarity that rivals direct experience. His approach to lighting mimics natural shadows and highlights, dissolving the boundaries between photographic representation and physical reality.
