Moth Nectar takes the artist’s interest in botanical and insect worlds into a new register, using glass’s translucence to mimic the glowing, otherworldly sheen of a moth’s body suspended in moonlight. The form feels simultaneously creaturely and floral, as if it were a pollinator and blossom fused, channeling the intimate exchange of nectar, light, and movement that happens at night. Working in glass lets the artist literalize luminosity—turning refracted light into part of the sculpture’s lifeforce rather than merely its surface.
