Biography
Kevin Yaun (b. 1986 Lawrenceville, GA, lives and works in Los Angeles) makes paintings inspired by his nomadic view of home. Drawing from his time spent moving across the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia, Yaun’s paintings capture the transient view of interior vs exterior life. Across his works, landscapes unfold beyond windowpanes while interior spaces subtly reflect back to the viewer, rendering visible the thresholds that anchor an understanding of home as an ever-shifting psychological condition.
Yaun received his MFA from Laguna College of Art and Design in 2024 and is based in Los Angeles. Previous solo exhibitions include Megan Mulrooney, Los Angeles, CA; Billis Willis Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; and Galerie Ego, Marfa, TX.
