Flora Temnouche paints from life, conjuring the quiet intensity of her studio apartment through closely observed still lives and introspective portraits. Working exclusively in natural light, she captures fleeting atmospheric details—reflections, wilting bouquets, the cast of shadows—as both subject and metaphor. With surfaces that feel aged and tenderly worn, her paintings meditate on solitude, perception, and the subtle poetics of everyday life.
Flora Temnouche (b. 1995, lives and works between Berlin and Paris) has had solo exhibitions at Megan Mulrooney, Los Angeles; Galerie Elsa Meunier, Paris; and Galerie Zeto Art, Paris. Group exhibitions include AplusB Gallery, Vienna, and Brescia; Taymour Grahne Projects, London; Galerie Elsa Meunier; Museo Ebraico di Venezia; Palazzo Galli Tassi, Florence; and Kunstpalast Museum, Düsseldorf. She participated in the Transhumances Residency, hosted by Numeroventi, Palazzo Galli Talli, Florence.
